What you'll do as the Mechanical Design Engineer
You’ll join the UK design team, developing and evolving products across the range and building on the site's FEA capability.
- Produce 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings to the required standards and tolerances
- Carry out finite element analysis to prove product performance before manufacturing
- Analyse existing designs and develop new ones based on field knowledge and competitor insight
- Visit suppliers and foundries to resolve design and manufacturability issuesManage assigned projects, approving first-off samples before handover to operations
- Work with international colleagues and mentor more junior members of the team
What you'll need to apply for the Mechanical Design Engineer
- Strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred, though any major package is considered)
- Hands-on experience with finite element analysis (FEA)
- A mechanical engineering degree or a closely related design background
