Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers for three available positions, offering a salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus a 5% bonus, overtime, and other benefits. Locations include Omagh, Ballygawley, Monaghan, Enniskillen, Tyrone, and Armagh. This is a full-time, permanent role (Reference: HN6807).

Our client is an expanding heavy metal engineering company, part of a larger group, with plans for a new manufacturing site. They are experiencing significant growth, with ongoing expansion over the next three years. This position marks the beginning of an exciting journey within an established design team, focusing on project-oriented mechanical design from concept to manufacturing.

The role involves using SolidWorks regularly, creating Bills of Materials, and designing for efficiency and minimal wastage.

Essential Criteria:

1. At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering with similar products.
2. Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer/Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor.
3. A relevant engineering qualification is preferred, but extensive design experience will also be considered.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
