Mechanical Design Engineer Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in the Swadlincote area. The company specializes in conveying and specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD software suites.

Position Overview

1. Design and develop conveyor systems and mechanical handling machinery from concept to final production.
2. Collaborate within a small team.
3. Adhere to company health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Recognized mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., ONC, HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent).
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD design suites.
• Experience with installing and maintaining Autodesk software is advantageous.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving license.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Remuneration

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Company pension scheme.
