Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the development of new techniques, processes and products, guiding designs from concept through to detailed design with calculations, drawings and BOMs.

You will manage multiple priorities, own project elements or small projects, perform risk assessments and cost estimation, support bids with technical documentation, and collaborate with project management, production teams and clients while mentoring colleagues and upholding safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD; AutoCAD and Inventor desirable but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of advanced engineering principles in conveyors, lifts, hydraulics, pneumatics or related sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with clients.

What You'll Do

• Guide designs from concept through detailed design, including calculations, drawings, and BOMs.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (typically Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD (AutoCAD and Inventor desirable but not essential).
• Strong knowledge of advanced engineering principles and practices within conveyors or special purpose machinery or lifts or hydraulics or pneumatics or agricultural or production lines or automated production sectors or environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in client–facing situations.
• Commitment to Continuous Professional Development and engagement with industry activities.
