Platform Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established product development business in Cambridgeshire. You will work on electro-mechanical products from concept through to production, taking ownership of mechanical design projects.

You will develop 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed drawings, build prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues while exploring new materials and finishing techniques.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances and finishing techniques.
• Hands-on prototyping or workshop experience.
• Experience developing consumer, scientific or electro-mechanical products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer looking to develop their career within a hands-on engineering environment. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle while developing your ability to take ownership of mechanical design projects.

Key Responsibilities:
