Ideal candidates will have a degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus practical experience with prototyping and electro‑mechanical products.

Qualifications

• Understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances and finishes.
• Hands-on prototyping or workshop-based activity experience.
• Experience developing consumer, scientific or electro‑mechanical products.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs from concept through prototype, manufacture and production.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Build and assemble prototypes.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation, assembly instructions and drawings.
• Collaborate with production to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Investigate new materials, processes and finishing techniques.

The company designs and manufactures high-quality, technically complex electro‑mechanical products, taking projects from initial concept and development through to production.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer looking to develop their career within a hands‑on engineering environment. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and cross‑functional teams, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle while developing your ability to take ownership of mechanical design projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop designs from initial concept through to prototype, manufacture and production
• Produce 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings
• Build and assemble prototypes
• Prepare manufacturing documentation, assembly instructions and technical drawings
• Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues
• Investigate new materials, manufacturing processes and finishing techniques

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline
• Understand mechanical manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances and finishing techniques
