Job summary

Tata Steel Llanwern in Newport is seeking a Mechanical Craft Team Member to join the Utilities department. The role supports the Shift Control Engineer across steam, gas, water, compressed air and HV electrical infrastructure within a heavy industrial environment.

Role requires time served apprenticeship, NVQ3, and 2+ years’ experience in heavy industrial maintenance. Flexibility for shift patterns and full right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship and NVQ3 (Mechanical Engineering).
• 2+ years in a Heavy Industrial environment.
• 2+ years in a Mechanical maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical maintenance across the energy plant.
• Respond to engineering, safety and quality issues to minimise downtime.
• Support the shift Control Engineer with reactive and preventative maintenance.
