Job summary

Glasswell & Last Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mechanical CAD Technician to join our growing design team. You will produce general arrangement, fabrication, and as-built drawings using Autodesk tools and manage datasheets and BOMs.

This role emphasizes meticulous quality control, data accuracy, and clear communication with project managers, fabrication and installation teams, and clients. A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is preferred, with a UK driving licence

Qualifications

• Proficient with Autodesk CAD software and BIM workflows.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in drawings and data management.
• Strong documentation and data-management skills within a project environment.
• UK driving licence required or willing to travel for on-site tasks.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate general arrangement, fabrication and as-built drawings.
• Create other outputs including bills of quantities and datasheets as required.
• Manage documents within BIM environment, uploading drawings for review and recording amendments.
• Liaise with project management to develop project costings.
• Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams, feed back improvements for future projects.
