Glasswell and Last Ltd in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to produce and manage 3D/2D CAD outputs for water, gas, and distribution projects. The role focuses on fabrication drawings, BOMs, technical queries, and QA documentation, working within a team that supports industrial clients nationwide.

The candidate should bring strong Autodesk experience, be detail‑oriented, and capable of liaising with clients and site teams to ensure high‑quality, compliant design deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in mechanical design for industrial projects.
• Proficient with CAD tools and able to produce fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with quality assurance documentation and design deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D design outputs using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit and related tools.
• Create and manage fabrication drawings, bills of materials and technical queries.
• Liaise with clients, project managers and site teams to resolve design questions.
• Ensure outputs are compliant with Quality Management Systems and traceable.
