Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team in the Manchester area, focusing on Data Centre projects. The role involves developing early concepts, signing off contractors, and delivering technical feasibility studies for critical IT infrastructure.

You will create technical specifications, lead mechanical design aspects, and receive full training and progression opportunities within a forward‑looking company.

Qualifications

Are you a Building Services Design Engineer from a Mechanical background looking to break into the data centre industry with a market leading business, with global projects?

Do you want to work for a business that value further development and training, in a position where you’ll work directly with company directors to win and manage diverse projects in the massively growing AI industry?

In this role you will be responsible for early stage project development of Data Centres and Critical IT Infrastructure. You will be signing off contractors work, delivering technical feasibility studies, creating technical specifications and taking a position of a technical lead for the mechanical aspects of Data Centre design. Full training and support will be given, enabling you to progress your career.
