Job summary

PRS LTD in York is seeking a Multi-skilled Mechanical Building Maintenance Engineer to maintain a large estate, covering plant room, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance tasks.

The role is permanent, offering up to £43,000 basic, on a 6am–6pm shift pattern. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, service AHU/FCU units, pumps and valves, and respond to emergency repairs with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• A qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial grade plumber.
• Experience with plant rooms, AHUs and FCUs.
• PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
• Excellent client facing skills are essential.
• Valid driving license is required.
• Willing to complete fabric and plumbing tasks.
• Willing and ability to pass a PVG check.

Responsibilities

• Complete PPM and reactive maintenance to mechanical plant room equipment.
• Carry out maintenance on pumps and valves.
• Perform plumbing maintenance as part of building upkeep.
• Maintain basic AHU/fan coil units and controls.
• Carry out checks and compliance duties including water temperatures.
• Undertake small works installation as required.
• Respond to emergency repairs promptly.
• Handle ad-hoc maintenance tasks as directed.

We are recruiting for a multi skilled maintenance engineer based in the York area covering the maintenance of a large scale estate. The role will involve general mechanical aspects of building maintenance including plant room, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance etc.
The role is a permanent position paying up to £43,000 basic and based on a shift pattern: Shifts from 6am to 6pm
Week one - Mon,Tues,Fri,Sat,Sun
Week two - Wed,Thurs

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties:

• Completing PPM and reactive maintenance to:
• Mechanical Plant room
• Pumps and valves
• Plumbing maintenance
• Basic AHU/fan coil upkeep
• Checks and compliance duties including water/tap temps etc.
• Small works installation
• Emergency repairs
• All ad- hoc maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• A qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial grade plumber
• Experience of plant room, AHU’s, FCU’s etc.
• Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience
• Excellent client facing skills
• Valid driving license
• Willingness to complete fabric and plumbing tasks
• Willing and ability to pass a PVG check
