Job summary

The Job People in Wolverhampton area seeks a Mechanical Assembler to join the assembly team. The role involves gearbox stripping with basic hand tools, use of power tools and grinders, and operation of lathes and overhead cranes where needed.

Based in Albrighton, near Wolverhampton, you will work Monday to Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8:30am–2:00pm, earning £12.71 per hour with overtime available. Manufacturing experience is preferred and you will join an Equal Opportunities employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation or automotive repair is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Experience using basic power and hand tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Will involve stripping out gearboxes using basic hand tools.
• Using power tools and grinders as part of assembly tasks.
• Operating lathes and overhead cranes where required.
• Car/automotive mechanical work and general assembly duties.
