Job summary

The Job People is recruiting a Mechanical Assembler for a permanent position in the Wolverhampton area. The role runs Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm and Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm, with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Based in Albrighton, you will join the assembly team to support operations. Typical duties include stripping gearboxes with hand tools, using power tools and grinders, operating lathes and overhead cranes, and performing basic automotive mechanical tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operating or mechanics is advantageous.
• General assembly work experience is preferred.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Strip out gearboxes using basic hand tools.
• Use power tools and grinders during assembly.
• Operate lathes and overhead cranes as required.
• Perform basic car/automotive mechanical tasks.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.

We currently have an immediate vacancy within the Assembly team. Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an additional team member to support operations.
