Job summary

Applied Automation in Plymouth is seeking a skilled assembler for the Marine & Build to Print division. You will build mechanical sub-assemblies, mount components to control panels and follow drawings to confgure systems for UK and worldwide markets.

You will read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and contribute to meeting production targets while keeping the workplace safe and tidy in line with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Mechanical assembly experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good communication skills to explain differences within issued drawings.
• High attention to detail with a quality over quantity mindset.
• Confident with using various hand tools such as drills, torque tools.
• Strong understanding in reading mechanical blueprints and layout drawings.
• Strong understanding of industrial workshop practices.

The individual will be tasked with building mechanical sub-assemblies and control boxes and control systems according to drawings and specification. The role will require fabrication, mechanical fastening and component mounting for the UK and Worldwide marketplace.
