Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in Guildford to inspect vehicles, follow procedures, and report findings using a PDA template.

You will complete used vehicle condition reports, work with the team on daily site inspections, and maintain high standards of service for customers; a full UK driving licence is essential. Travel to BCA sites will be regular.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics and software updates.
• Experience with electric/hybrid vehicles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
