Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a mechanically skilled technician in Kettering to join its engineering team on a shift-based pattern. The role focuses on hands-on breakdown responses and rapid repair to keep production lines running.

You will be trained up to a Maintenance Technician level in a state-of-the-art, fully automated plant, with an excellent pension and a clear path for career progression. This permanent role offers a competitive salary (£54k-£56k) with bonus and benefits, and requires

Qualifications

• Must have engineering qualifications.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to mechanical breakdowns across the site.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes of failures.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Repair and replace mechanical components as required.
• Fault find on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and other equipment.
• Carry out basic adjustments and modifications to machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and engineering work.
• Follow site health and safety procedures and engineering standards.
