Job summary

Crown Garage in Newton St Faith near Norwich is seeking a skilled vehicle mechanic and/or MOT tester to join our independent workshop.

We offer MOT testing, servicing, tyres, diagnostics and air conditioning work. The successful candidate will work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with a focus on independent, high‑quality work and accurate job cards within a small, friendly team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and current MOT tester preferred but not essential.
• All types of vehicle servicing and repair knowledge required.
• Strong diagnostic and maintenance skills desirable.

Job description

MECHANIC/MOT TESTER VACANCY.

A position has become available for a vehicle mechanic and/or MOT tester in our workshops at Crown Garage, Newton St Faith.

Competitive salary available depending on qualifications and experience.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and current MOT tester preferred but not essential.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. No weekends.

We are an independent garage offering MOT testing, servicing, tyres, air conditioning, diagnostics and general repairs to all makes and models of car, light commercial and motorhomes.

We look after a regular customer base and take pride in offering high quality repairs and service in everything we do.

We are a small team and are looking for the right candidate to fit in with us and hit the ground running with our work load.

The job role will comprise of duties including but not limited to;

• All types of vehicle servicing.
• MOT testing (if applicable).
• General maintenance and repairs.
• Tyre fitting and wheel alignment.
• Diagnostics and fault finding.
• Air conditioning servicing and repair.

The successful candidate will be;

• Forward thinking and able to adapt to changing needs and time frames during the working day.
• Friendly, approachable for customers visiting the workshop.
• Able to work independently to a high standard, taking pride in the job carried out.
• Able to keep record and document work carried out on each job in the form of job cards.
