Job summary

Ambitions Personnel is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a reputable independent garage in Nottinghamshire. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary (£30,000-£45,000 DOE) and stable hours Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, with 1-2 Saturdays per month.

The successful candidate will carry out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, maintain records, and support servicing and repairs as required.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester qualification.
• Experience in a busy garage or workshop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Identifying and recording defects or advisory items accurately.
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation.
• Liaising with colleagues to ensure vehicles are repaired and returned to customers promptly.
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach at all times.
• Supporting the workshop with servicing, repairs and general vehicle maintenance where appropriate.

Ambitions Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established, reputable independent garage in Nottinghamshire. Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
• 1-2 Saturdays per month, depending on business requirements and busy periods.

Salary

• £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications and skill set.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
