Job summary

Mach Recruitment Ltd's client, a successful meat processing manufacturer in the South East Midlands, seeks a Production Manager/Operations Manager to oversee production in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will drive safety, quality, productivity and cost targets, lead teams, and implement CI/Lean improvements.

The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern with early starts and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a butchered meat production environment (butchery).
• Experience within an abattoir setting is essential.
• Strong focus on Short Interval Control and yield measurement systems.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement (CI) and LEAN processes.
• Budgetary/financial awareness and cost management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to develop and drive teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily production in a fast-paced meat processing site.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and drive KPI performance.
• Manage supervisors and operatives, developing and coaching the team.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives across the site.
• Collaborate with site management on planning, budgeting and efficiency.
