Job summary

Sofina Foods in Hull, East Yorkshire, is seeking a Production Operative to work in the meat preparation area, performing tasks such as mincing, bowl chopping, forming, packing and palletising.

The role focuses on GMP, quality and efficient production, with Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts, full-time, and on-site parking; training will be provided to achieve required competencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory environment is desirable.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willing to undertake necessary training to achieve competencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure area and unit compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain GMP standards, keep area clean and tidy (clean as you go).
• Complete paperwork to required standards.
• Set up mixing and bowl chopping equipment correctly.
• Maintain species and allergen controls at all times.
• Control give away and ensure recipe adherence.
• Conduct operating asset care as required promptly.
• Meet site standards of quality, quantity, cost and timescale.
• Communicate effectively within and between areas/units.

Summary

We are looking for a Production Operative to work in our meat preparation area

The Role

Working in the meat preparation area including Mincing, Bowl chopping, forming, packing and palletising

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure area / unit compliance to all relevant company / site / legislative policies, procedures, regulations and practices.
• Adhere to a high standard of GMP in all areas, i.e. clean as you go and working in a tidy manner etc.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standard
• Ensure the correct setting up of all mixing & bowl chopping equipment
• Maintain species & allergen control at all times
• Control give away and maintain recipe adherence at all times.
• Conduct operating asset care as required in a timely manner.
• Ensure requirements are met and in line with site standards of quality, quantity, cost and timescale.
• Ensure effective communications within and between areas / units.

The Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrates an understanding for compliance and quality of all Food Safety & Quality Polices and procedures
• Demonstrates a desire to question processes and efficiency and to seek change.
• Experience of working in a factory environment (desirable)
• Prior experience of working within food sector (desirable)
• Good communication and team working skills
• Be willing to undertake any necessary training to achieve the required competencies and job objectives
