Job summary

Silvercrest Care is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant at Hollies Care Home in Pontypridd. You will support the Activities Coordinator to deliver a varied, person-centred programme that reflects residents' interests and needs.

The role is 17.5 hours per week across Mon-Sun, with a rate of £12.71 per hour. You don't need to be a performer; energy, creativity and empathy are valued. This position offers training and a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous activities experience within a care environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a meaningful, engaging activities programme.
• Encourage residents to express and maintain their individual lifestyle choices.
• Spend time with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation, respecting dignity and preferences.
• Assist with activity planning, monthly calendars and expenditure records.
• Ensure activity records are accurate, up-to-date and inspection-ready.
