Job summary

Cardiff Council Meals on Wheels in Cardiff delivers around 320 meals daily, 7 days a week, supporting vulnerable residents across Cardiff and the Vale. We are recruiting a Meals on Wheels Cook for 30 hours per week, 9am–2pm, five days out of seven (Tue–Sat or Sun–Mon style).

You should have catering experience and hold a Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification, be flexible, customer-focused, and committed to delivering a high-quality meals service with excellent customer care.

Cardiff Council Meals on Wheels is a service providing approximately 320 meals per day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year in the Cardiff and the Vale area.

Responsibilities include:

• The organisation, preparation, and production of meals for customers throughout Cardiff.
• Ensuring all meals are prepared and regenerated in line with Council procedures, food safety legislation, and established quality standards.

The post is: Working 5 days out of 7 (30 hours) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday - 9am to 2.00pm

What We Are Looking For From You

Ideally, you will have experience in a catering environment and hold a Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification. You will be flexible, customer-focused, and committed to delivering a high-quality Meals on Wheels service.

You will:
