Job summary

Cardiff Council Meals on Wheels is seeking a dedicated team player to join an established catering service. You will organise, prepare and produce meals for customers across Cardiff, ensuring compliance with council procedures, food safety requirements and quality standards.

The role is 30 hours per week, five days out of seven, with shifts from 9am to 2pm. Experience in catering and a Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification are desirable, and flexibility is essential for delivering a

Job description

Cardiff Council Meals on Wheels a service providing approx. 320 meals per day 7 days a week and 365 days a year in the Cardiff and the vale area.

About the job

The successful applicant will work as part of an established team within the Meals on Wheels catering service. Responsibilities include the organisation, preparation, and production of meals for customers throughout Cardiff, ensuring all meals are prepared and regenerated in line with Council procedures, food safety legislation, and established quality standards.

The post is Working 5 days out of 7 (30 hours)

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday - 9am to 2.00pm

What We Are Looking For From You

Ideally, you will have experience in a catering environment and hold a Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification. You will be flexible, customer-focused, and committed to delivering a high-quality Meals on Wheels service.

You will:
