Job summary

Cardiff Council Meals on Wheels in Cardiff delivers around 320 meals daily, 7 days a week, supporting vulnerable residents across Cardiff and the Vale. We are recruiting a Meals on Wheels Cook for 30 hours per week, 9am–2pm, five days out of seven (Tue–Sat or Sun–Mon style).

You should have catering experience and hold a Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification, be flexible, customer-focused, and committed to delivering a high-quality meals service with excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 qualification.
• Flexible, customer-focused and committed to high-quality Meals on Wheels service.

Responsibilities

• Organise, prepare and produce meals for customers throughout Cardiff.
• Ensure meals are prepared and regenerated in line with procedures, food safety legislation, and quality standards.
