Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Leicester is recruiting an experienced CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing engineering team. You will program and operate PC-DMIS CMMs to ensure components meet customer specifications and quality standards.

This permanent, full-time role offers a stable day shift (Mon-Fri) with training and development opportunities, an attractive pension, and on-site parking as part of a growing engineering business in the East Midlands.

Qualifications

• Strong PC-DMIS programming experience.
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Ability to create and modify inspection programs from engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of ISIR/FAIR documentation and drawing ballooning.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS software.
• Create new CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Update and optimise existing programs to improve efficiency and inspection accuracy.
• Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections of manufactured components.
• Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and customer specifications.
