Job summary

Civil Nuclear Constabulary is recruiting an experienced procurement professional to lead end-to-end tenders, oversee risk, and drive strategic procurement projects in a secure public sector environment.

The role requires MCIPS qualification and extensive public sector experience, with hybrid working at Harwell (40% office, 60% home). The position focuses on policy implementation, supplier negotiations, and compliant contract delivery.

Qualifications

• Professional Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply MCIPS Professional Qualification.
• Extensive public sector procurement experience and regulatory understanding.
• Experience in procuring goods, services and works across multiple categories.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of key tenders ensuring due process and compliance.
• Identify and manage procurement risks within the organisation's framework.
• Deliver strategic CNC projects and manage the procurement workstream on project boards.
• Research and select new supply areas and negotiate/award contracts.
• Suggest improvements to procurement processes in line with guidelines.
