Job summary

CNC Police Staff in Harwell, Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced procurement leader (MCIPS) to establish, implement and enforce strategic procurement policies across the organisation. The role manages end-to-end tenders and contract lifecycles with significant autonomy.

You will operate in a hybrid setup (40% office, 60% home), working with stakeholders across Public Sector procurement for Professional Services, IT, FM and Travel/Fleet while shaping supplier relationships and delivering

Qualifications

• MCIPS professional qualification required.
• Extensive public sector procurement and contract management experience.
• Experience across categories including Professional Services, IT, FM and Travel/Fleet.
• Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies and guidance for stakeholders.
• Hands-on contract lifecycle management from negotiation to renewal.
• Strong compliance and risk management capabilities under PCR2015/PA2023.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of key tenders to ensure due process compliance.
• Scope requirements, conduct market research and evaluate tenders.
• Oversee procurement work of others and manage associated risks.
• Deliver strategic CNC projects with board-level involvement.
• Negotiate with suppliers and award framework agreements.
• Identify process improvements and promote best practices.
