Job summary

Slough Borough Council seeks an experienced Team Manager to lead its MCA/DOLs work, ensuring lawful, person‑centred practice. You will oversee the DOLS team, provide expert advice on complex cases, and drive quality assurance and performance across ASC.

You will develop procedures, manage data and audits, and collaborate with partners to promote safe, lawful decisions for adults in care. Hybrid working with office presence is required.

Qualifications

• Essential management experience supervising staff and performance.
• Degree level qualification with a relevant professional registration.
• Full UK driving licence and CPD evidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy, procedure and practice issues on MCA and DOLs.
• Provide expert MCA/DOLs advice to senior managers and ASC staff.
• Develop procedures to support robust decision making.
• Maintain data management processes and QA for MCA.
• Implement QA and audits of external assessments.
• Advise adults or representatives on DOLs procedures.
