Job summary

The University of Lancashire invites applications for a Lead for Student Selected Components to join our MBBS teaching team. The post is 1.5 days per week and must include Thursday; it is based at Burnley campus with occasional travel to Preston and Westlakes.

You will lead delivery, management and assessment in Quality Improvement within Year 4, and contribute to clinical audit within Year 3, requiring GMC registration and extensive NHS-based teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial and recent experience as a doctor.
• Full GMC registration is required.
• Experience with research methodologies, audit and service evaluation in the NHS.
• Experience working in undergraduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Lead in delivery, management and assessment of Quality Improvement within Year 4 MBBS.
• Contribute to the area of clinical audit within Year 3 as required.
• Based at Burnley campus site with possible travel to Preston and Westlakes (Cumbria).
