Job summary

Harris Academy Wickford within the Harris Federation is seeking a dedicated graduate Tutor in Maths. You will deliver maths programmes to small groups and 1:1 students, track progress, and communicate with parents on attendance and attitude.

The role requires Maths at degree level with strong numeracy and literacy skills, and you will work under an ambitious team focused on student excellence and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications that demonstrate evidence at A Level and undergraduate degree in Maths.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver programmes of study to small groups and in 1:1 settings.
• Ensure students meet examination targets and liaise with parents on attendance, progress and attitude.
• Maintain records of students' progress relative to targets.
• Complete marking and provide constructive feedback.
• In a whole-class setting, highlight learning needs to the teacher and plan support.
• Assist the teacher in evaluating progress through agreed assessments.
• Support identified students to engage with learning objectives.
• Plan with teachers the role you will take and prepare resources.
