Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a welcoming middle school in the Dorchester area. You will teach Mathematics to pupils in Years 5–8 and may cover Science when required.

This full-time, long-term position starts after half-term (December 2026) and offers ongoing support, professional development, and a chance to secure a permanent role within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent confirmed by the school.
• Experience teaching Maths within KS2, KS3, or a middle school setting.
• Ability to confidently deliver Mathematics across a range of abilities.
• Some experience or confidence covering Science lessons.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and inspiring Maths lessons to pupils in Years 5-8.
• Provide occasional Science cover where required.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that support progress for all learners.
• Assess and monitor pupil achievement, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and wider school staff.

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming middle school in the Dorchester area. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about mathematics and enjoys helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.

The successful candidate will primarily teach Mathematics across Years 5 to 8, with some additional responsibility for covering Science lessons when required.
