Job summary

Randstad Education in Warwick is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher for a 14-16 Direct Entry Provision. This permanent, full-time role (37 hours/week; 39 term-time weeks) offers a unique chance to shape a hands-on maths curriculum.

You will deliver GCSE and Functional Skills maths, support students with SEN, EAL and SEMH needs, and work closely with the Headteacher to ensure high standards and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Experience teaching GCSE Maths to diverse learners.
• Experience supporting learners with SEN, EAL, SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to students across 25 class hours per week during term time.
• Shape the Maths curriculum in collaboration with the Headteacher to address barriers to learning.
• Provide pastoral support for students with SEN, EAL and SEMH needs.
• Foster a safe, structured learning environment with clear rules and routines.

Salary: £34,626 - £38,922 per annum

This exciting new 14-16 Direct Entry Provision offers students a tailored pathway combining three core GCSEs with practical Level 1 or 2 qualifications in Engineering or Motor Vehicle.

We are looking for a dedicated Maths Teacher to help design, build, and deliver our Maths curriculum. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who benefit from an alternative, hands-on learning environment, ensuring they gain the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed to thrive in adult life.

What You'll Do

• Deliver High-Impact Teaching: Teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths across 25 classroom hours per week during term time.

• Shape the Curriculum: Work alongside the Headteacher to develop an innovative, engaging Maths curriculum that addresses potential barriers to learning and meets diverse needs.
• Support the Whole Student: Maintain high expectations while providing pastoral care and robust support for students with SEN, EAL, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

• Foster a Positive Culture: Create a safe, structured, and stimulating environment where rules and routines are clear, and every student feels valued.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS

• Experience: Proven track record of teaching GCSE Maths, with a solid understanding of national specifications (AQA, Edexcel, or Eduqas).

• Inclusive Expertise: Experience working with learners with SEN, EAL, or SEMH needs, and a passion for supporting young people who may have had a challenging prior experience in education.
