Are you confident preparing students for their GCSE examinations and supporting them to achieve excellent results?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Treorchy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, who are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher. The school provides education to students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, with a focus on developing mathematical knowledge, confidence and preparing learners for their GCSE examinations.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons, assessing student progress, supporting GCSE exam preparation and maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour to ensure all learners can achieve their potential.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (NQTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE Mathematics curriculum and examination requirements
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan, differentiate and deliver engaging lessons to students of varying abilities
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
