Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Maths Teacher for a secondary school in Sturminster Newton, starting in September. You will teach Maths to Key Stages 3 and 4, with possible KS5 for experienced teachers, in a supportive department.

You will deliver engaging lessons, plan and assess in line with the national curriculum, track progress, and differentiate to meet varying abilities. The role offers strong CPD and collaboration within the school community.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Maths education.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to apply.

Job description

Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, you'll inspire students through engaging lessons that develop their confidence, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Teachers with appropriate experience may also teach Key Stage 5.

The Role

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
