Job summary

Supply Desk, in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Uxbridge, invites applications for a dedicated Maths Teacher starting September. You will deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to develop numeracy, reasoning and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent - desirable
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3/KS4)
  • ECTs welcome with relevant Maths teaching placements
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • An engaging, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style
  • Availability to start in September
  • Ability to commute to Bourne End, Buckinghamshire

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspire pupils and support progress in mathematics
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teach topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and number
  • Prepare students for GCSE Maths
  • Create a positive, inclusive, well-managed classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Differentiate lessons for diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
  • Collaborate with the Maths department and wider school staff
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Uxbridge, to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher for a September start.

This role is ideal for a Maths specialist who is enthusiastic about numeracy, confident delivering engaging and structured lessons, and committed to helping pupils develop strong mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils and supporting progress in all areas of mathematics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teaching key topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and number
  • Preparing students for assessments and GCSE Maths
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
  • Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - desirable
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4)
