Job summary

Academics is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Upminster, Essex, to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a September start. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with pay aligned to MPS/UPS depending on experience.

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, assess progress and help students develop confidence and problem-solving skills in mathematics within a supportive department and wider school.

Job Overview:

• This school caters for students aged 11-16.
• Full-time, Monday - Friday, Maths Teacher role.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students to develop strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills while building confidence in Mathematics.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to support achievement and attainment.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students are encouraged to succeed.
• Work collaboratively with the Mathematics department and wider school staff to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
• Support the wider life of the school through participation in enrichment activities, intervention sessions and school events where appropriate.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching Mathematics.
• Experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
