Job summary

Stockport School is seeking an Academic Mentor - Specialist Subject Tutor to support Maths. The postholder will work with students in class and small groups across KS3/KS4, including dedicated support for Y11 GCSE readiness.

Applicants should have strong GCSEs in English and Maths with at least a C/4, a good honours degree, and preferably QTS or HLTA status. This is a permanent, term-time role with potential PGCE/Schools Direct training support.

Qualifications

• GCSE passes in English and Maths at minimum grade C/4.
• Strong GCSE and/or A Level passes in other subjects.
• Graduate with an Honours Degree or equivalent; QTS or HLTA status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Maths in class and in small groups across KS3/KS4.
• Focus on supporting Y11 GCSE students when needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to reinforce core academic skills.
