Job summary

Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting for an experienced GCSE Maths Lecturer to join a well-established college in South Yorkshire on a 30 hour per week temporary contract.

The role involves delivering GCSE Maths lessons, planning and assessing in line with awarding body requirements, and monitoring student progress. It requires a recognised teaching qualification and a relevant Maths-related degree. The position is offered on a temporary basis with a negotiable pay rate.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching GCSE Maths within a Further Education college.
• Qualified teaching certificate (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Degree in Maths or related subject.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage diverse learners.

Role Details

• Contract: 30 Hours per week (Monday to Thursday)
• Pay Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment that motivates and supports learners to achieve their potential.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience teaching GCSE Maths within a Further Education college.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
• A relevant degree or recognised qualification in Maths or a related subject.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners with diverse needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
