Job summary

Brookthorpe Hall School is seeking an ambitious Maths Lead to take ownership of Mathematics across the school and shape a curriculum that gives every student the opportunity to achieve. Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths
• A strong track record of improving student outcomes and raising standards
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop colleagues
• Experience of curriculum planning and developing high-quality learning opportunities
• Confidence using assessment and performance data to identify priorities and drive improvement
• Experience monitoring student progress and contributing to quality assurance
• A strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching approaches
• The ability to establish high expectations while creating a positive and supportive learning environment
• A genuine commitment to helping students overcome barriers and achieve their potential

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development and develop an ambitious Mathematics curriculum that responds to student needs
• Deliver high-quality Maths teaching to build confidence and understanding
• Drive improvements in attainment, progress and outcomes across Mathematics
• Use assessment data to identify gaps, monitor progress and implement interventions
• Coach and develop colleagues, sharing best practice across the school
• Lead quality assurance activities and drive school-wide improvement
