Job summary

The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is seeking an ambitious Head of Mathematics for Brixham College to lead a key curriculum area during an exciting development phase. The role focuses on securing excellence in mathematics and improving students’ life chances through a strong curriculum and high teaching standards.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across Key Stages, collaborate with senior leaders, and develop colleagues to raise aspirations and achievement for all students

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in secondary education.
• Strong strategic and operational leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mathematics department to transform outcomes and teaching quality across Key Stages.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop an ambitious, coherent curriculum.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning, achievement and curriculum development.
• Support professional dialogue and continuous improvement within the department.
• Build capacity of staff through mentoring and targeted professional development.
• Shape a curriculum that inspires confidence, curiosity and mastery of mathematics.
