Longdon Hall School, part of Outcomes First Group, seeks a Head of Maths to lead the development and delivery of an engaging maths curriculum across the school. You will work with the Senior Leadership Team to raise attainment, ensure ambitious teaching standards and develop staff through strong professional growth, collaboration and effective behaviour management.

You will lead, coach and evaluate the Maths department, ensuring the curriculum aligns with national expectations and examinations

Formación

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial experience teaching Mathematics.
• Proven track record of raising attainment and improving outcomes.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Be confident in curriculum design, assessment, moderation and quality assurance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategic development, implementation and evaluation of the Maths curriculum.
• Manage day-to-day operation of the Maths department and uphold high expectations.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning, assessment and student progress.
• Coach, develop and motivate staff to deliver outstanding educational outcomes.
• Monitor curriculum quality through assessment, moderation and performance analysis.
• Teach Maths and prepare students for examinations and qualifications.
• Support students' development through high-quality teaching and pastoral care.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to support student success.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement planning and curriculum development.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment where students thrive.
