Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a special needs school in Stoke-on-Trent to appoint a Maths Lead on a permanent, term-time-only basis. The role combines classroom teaching with subject leadership, developing the Maths curriculum, supporting colleagues and driving school improvement.

Qualifications

• UK QTS or equivalent with degree-level education.
• Strong knowledge across number, algebra, geometry, statistics and problem-solving.
• Experience delivering accredited Maths pathways including Functional Skills, Entry Level and GCSE.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Maths provision within a specialist setting.
• Oversee curriculum development and use data to drive pupil progress.
• Support colleagues and contribute to whole-school improvement.
