Job summary

Miller House School in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Maths Lead Teacher for a permanent, term-time role. The position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience. Start is November 2026 for UK applicants only, with no sponsorship available.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons within a multidisciplinary team, potentially taking Form Tutor duties and supporting pupils’ development and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or QTLS or equivalent.
• Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
• Believes every young person can achieve and succeed.
• Can build positive relationships and establish high expectations.
• Is adaptable, resilient and committed to meeting individual learning needs.
• Brings creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching.
• Experience within SEN, SEMH or specialist education is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons that motivate and inspire learners.
• Plan, prepare and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of every pupil.
• Monitor progress and use assessment effectively to drive achievement.
• Promote positive behaviour through therapeutic and restorative approaches.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals.
• Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to curriculum development and wider school activities.
• Build strong partnerships with families and external agencies.
