Job summary

Bromley Beacon Academy is seeking an experienced Mathematics Lead to join our SEMH provision and drive excellence in maths teaching, learning and achievement. The post combines curriculum leadership with hands-on teaching and pastoral support for pupils.

You will lead curriculum development, support staff to deliver high-quality provision, and use trauma-informed, relational approaches to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading maths provision in a school.
• Ability to design an ambitious, inclusive maths curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs using trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of an ambitious mathematics curriculum across the school.
• Support colleagues to deliver high-quality maths provision and monitor progress.
• Teach mathematics and provide pastoral support as a tutor.
• Work with school leaders and multidisciplinary teams to raise expectations and outcomes.
