Job summary

Bromley Beacon Academy is seeking an experienced Mathematics Lead to join our SEMH provision and drive excellence in mathematics teaching, learning and achievement across the school. You will lead the development of an ambitious and inclusive mathematics curriculum, support colleagues to deliver high-quality provision, and ensure pupils make strong progress from their starting points.

You will teach mathematics, provide pastoral support as a tutor, and use trauma-informed, relational approaches

Qualifications

• Experience leading mathematics provision in SEMH or similar setting.
• Ability to develop an ambitious, inclusive maths curriculum.
• Comfortable teaching maths and providing pastoral support as tutor.
• Use trauma-informed, relational approaches to support learning.
• Collaborate with leaders and multidisciplinary teams to raise attainment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of an ambitious maths curriculum across the school.
• Teach mathematics to pupils as part of a core timetable.
• Provide pastoral support to pupils as a tutor.
• Champion high expectations and promote a love of maths.
• Work with leadership and the SEMH provision to improve outcomes.
