Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to work full-time at William Lovell Academy in Stickney. This is a temporary, ASAP-start role delivering maths support to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will provide targeted interventions, support in lessons, and booster sessions, helping students improve attainment, confidence and engagement in Mathematics. DBS update service preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong Maths knowledge and confidence supporting secondary-aged pupils.
• Experience working with young people in education, tutoring, coaching, or similar.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Interest in helping students reach their potential and willing to undergo DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support within Maths lessons
• Deliver targeted interventions and booster sessions
• Support students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Help pupils build confidence and improve attainment in Mathematics
• Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and resources

About the Role

As a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The role will involve delivering small-group interventions, supporting pupils in lessons, and helping students overcome barriers to learning in Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
