Job summary

Step Into Teaching Limited is seeking a Maths Graduate HLTA for a well-regarded secondary school in the UK. The role focuses on delivering maths-focused interventions and leading small group and 1:1 support under teacher guidance.

The successful candidate will cover maths lessons, support curriculum delivery, and help create engaging resources while promoting inclusive learning. A maths degree is required; HLTA qualification is desirable and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Maths or related subject required (minimum 2:2).
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
• Experience in schools or SEND settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and lead maths-focused small group interventions and 1:1 support.
• Cover and lead maths lessons with teacher guidance when required.
• Support maths curriculum delivery and create engaging resources.
• Guide and support other teaching assistants during maths sessions.
• Build pupils’ confidence, independence and problem-solving in maths.
