Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking a Maths/English Functional Skills Tutor to deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons in Wigan. The role involves helping learners reach their potential in a dynamic, inclusive setting.

DBS check is required, and the position is full-time and temporary, with a minimum commitment of three weeks starting 2 November. You will plan, deliver, assess, and personalise lessons, track progress, and collaborate with staff to improve practice.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualifications and experience in Functional Skills in Maths, ideally English.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners, including those who are disengaged.
• Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
• Experience working in challenging learning environments.
• Commitment to professional development and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work across different locations.
