Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) in Maths and English to join the English and Maths department at Tresham College and other campuses. You will support GCSE and Functional Skills learners in class and in small groups, helping engage students and reinforce learning.

Applicants will have GCSEs in English and Maths, plus Level 3 qualifications in those subjects, and experience supporting learners.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, plus a Level 3 qualification in English and Maths to support effective delivery.
• Learner Support Experience in an educational setting with ability to contribute to teaching and learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently and within a teaching team.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class assistance for learners studying English and Maths (GCSE and Functional Skills).
• Support learners with additional needs, including EHCPs, through one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Assist with preparing learning resources and supporting assessment activities.
