Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) is seeking a Curriculum Leader of Maths to drive excellence in pedagogy and accelerated progress for all students. You will lead the Maths department, develop teaching standards, and align curriculum with the Trust’s vision.

The role is permanent, full-time, on Teaching terms MPS-UPS with a TLR 1.3 allowance of £14,864, starting January 2027. A strong English background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• This role requires qualified and experienced teachers eligible to work in the UK.
• Demonstrated English subject knowledge and current curriculum understanding.
• Proven ability to lead and develop pedagogy across the Maths curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Maths curriculum and raise attainment.
• Foster a shared curriculum vision aligned to the school’s goals.
• Monitor teaching quality and drive improvement through observations and strategies.
• Regularly review department aims and objectives.
• Manage department finances and resources for student achievement.
• Collaborate with other curriculum areas for cross-curricular learning.
• Promote enrichment and extracurricular activities within the curriculum.
